Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
Design and develop secure, scalable cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure that support international teams and business-critical services. Translate technical requirements into reliable solutions by automating infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices. Collaborate with architects, developers, and security specialists to strengthen platform security, availability, and performance while contributing to cloud strategy and technical standards. Coach colleagues on cloud expertise and share knowledge to foster team growth. This role requires at least five years of cloud experience, relevant Azure certifications, and proficiency in automation and CI/CD. Based in the Netherlands with a hybrid schedule of three days on campus, the position offers a salary between €5,015 and €7,163 gross per month.
Required Qualifications
- HBO working and thinking level
- At least 5 years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certification at associate level, preferably Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or demonstrable equivalent knowledge
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD practices
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and the operational management of cloud platforms
- Knowledge of cloud security, governance, monitoring, availability, and continuity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex cloud challenges
- The ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Candidates should be based in the Netherlands

- Background/integrity check

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Experience coaching colleagues and sharing knowledge within a cloud engineering team
- Experience working in an international organization
- Dutch language skills alongside strong English communication skills
