Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end data migration from Google Cloud Platform to AWS, including data mapping, schema conversion, and hands-on lift-and-shift execution. Build robust data synchronization pipelines with tight SLAs, implement end-to-end AWS data architecture (including driver personalization engines and production-grade dashboards), migrate large-scale historical and time-series data with integrity checks, and establish observability through monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation. Mentor teammates, collaborate with stakeholders on data governance and analytics, and contribute to an enterprise-scale cloud transformation in financial services. This role requires hands-on experience with GCP-to-AWS migrations, BigQuery-to-Redshift/Cloud SQL-to-Aurora, OLAP/OLTP systems, CDC and real-time replication, and a broad set of AWS data services, analytics tooling, and IaC/CI/CD practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field
- Proven experience migrating data from Google Cloud Platform to AWS
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery to Redshift, Cloud SQL to Aurora/RDS
- Data mapping, schema conversion, and ETL/ELT pipeline design at enterprise scale
- Experience with OLAP and OLTP systems and dimensional modeling
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC), real-time replication, and latency tuning
- Experience with AWS data services (Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, DMS, Glue, Kinesis, MSK, Lambda, S3, Lake Formation)
- Experience with analytics/dashboarding tools (Amazon QuickSight, Grafana) and driver personalization engines
- Familiarity with GCP tools (BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL)
- Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Cloud certifications are a plus (AWS/Azure/GCP)
