Senior Cloud Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Summary
Design and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments, managing cloud platforms like EKS, EC2, RDS, and Lambda. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to standardize deployments, while setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting to support strong observability. Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and disaster recovery planning, and define service reliability metrics such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. Partner with engineering, security, and product teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, access control, and cost optimization. Work in a hybrid role (4 days onsite in Makati City) with flexible shift options, supporting business-critical platforms that process over 7 billion communications annually.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure in production environments
- Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and managing infrastructure
- Strong background in Linux/Unix systems administration and production support
- Experience with automation or scripting using Python, Java, or similar languages
- Good understanding of networking, system security, distributed systems, and cloud architecture best practices
- Experience working with Kubernetes or EKS, including deployment, scaling, and platform operations
- Proven ability to support business-critical or high-availability platforms with a focus on reliability, performance, and recovery
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Hybrid: Onsite 4× per month (Makati City)
- Shift Options: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM EST during training but shift will change to 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM Manila Time (After successful completion of onboarding/training)
- Workdays: Mon – Fri
- On call if needed depends on weekend work requirements
