Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
Implement and support automation for GCP and AWS projects, including lifecycle management, IAM bindings, and workload identity. Troubleshoot Terraform and IaC deployments, state issues, and provider-specific access problems while partnering with service owners on landing-zone setups. Improve internal workflows through self-service automation, participate in CSE on-call rotations, and update runbooks following Box change management practices. Contribute to logging and audit paths to remediate access and compliance findings. Work 60% on coding, 15% on bug fixes, and 15% on documentation within an Agile Scrum environment using Jira and GitHub Enterprise.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform/SRE-style work
- experience with Linux and system fundamentals, hypervisor
- Hands-on GCP and AWS experience (at least one in depth; strong interest to grow in the other)
- used Terraform (or equivalent IaC) in real environments—not only tutorials
- Solid understanding of cloud IAM (service accounts, roles, policies, groups, federation basics)
- development skills (Python, Terraform, Bash scripting, Micro-service architecture)
- Familiarity with CI/CD and safe production change practices
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a sense of urgency and impatience infused with infectious enthusiasm to drive our vision
- communicate fluently in English
- work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Desired Qualifications
- Kubernetes / GKE or EKS onboarding experience
- Jenkins, Prefect, or internal workflow platforms
- Internal platform or “paved path” work (self-service portals, ticket-driven provisioning)
- FinOps exposure (budgets, cost visibility)
- Azure or additional cloud provider experience
