Job Summary
Senior Cloud Data Operations Engineer needed to operate and optimize a production data platform on AWS GovCloud (FedRamp) including RedShift, EMR, and OpenSearch. Responsibilities include running and improving enterprise data services, on-call issue resolution, creating runbooks, implementing best practices, configuring AWS services for performance and cost efficiency, automating tasks, proactive monitoring and alerting, disaster recovery testing, production support across environments, and contributing to CI/CD deployments. Required skills include hands-on AWS GovCloud data platform operations, IAM/KMS/Secrets Manager, CloudWatch/CloudTrail, RedShift/EMR/OpenSearch, Python and Shell development, Spark/Hadoop, Terraform/GitLab, and experience with HA/DR, security testing tools, SSL certificate management, and x integration with other AWS services. Nice-to-have: QuickSight, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, EC2, and Java/Scala development. This is a long-term contract in San Francisco with hybrid/remote options; US citizenship or I-140 eligibility is required.
