Job Summary
Build a cutting-edge cloud-native database platform on top of the public cloud and architect robust, scalable, distributed infrastructure. Work on an in-house Kubernetes operator to support seamless infrastructure management and improve the metrics pipeline to generate better statistics and recommendations. Collaborate with the core database team and other data plane teams to drive continuous improvements in cloud infrastructure for enhanced performance and scalability. This role requires 5+ years of experience building fault-tolerant distributed systems with expertise in Go, C++, or Java, alongside public cloud provider knowledge. Candidates must handle PagerDuty on-call rotations and possess strong communication skills. We are a rapidly scaling startup transforming how companies use data, with over 3,000 customers including Capital One and Meta.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Production experience with programming languages like Go, C++ or Java
- Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g., EC2)
- Experience with Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation (Spark, Kafka or similar tools)
- Experience working with distributed systems
Desired Qualifications
- You are not a stranger to PagerDuty On-call, debugging things in production and are a strong problem-solver
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within and across engineering teams
