Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions on GCP using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow. Develop and optimize Python-based ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing while working with NoSQL databases like Firestore, Bigtable, or MongoDB. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to integrate data solutions with business applications, ensuring data security, reliability, and compliance. Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and infrastructure. This fully remote position requires 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions in a cloud environment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions in a cloud environment
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering, Software Development, or a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its key services
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing
- Experience with NoSQL databases (Firestore, Bigtable, MongoDB, or similar)
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architectures
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
