Job Summary
Senior Cloud and Technology Modernization SME to provide senior-level expertise in Federal IT modernization, cloud architecture, software engineering, intelligent automation, and digital transformation. This role will support complex technology modernization initiatives focused on improving mission performance, operational efficiency, decision support, and service delivery. The Senior Cloud and Technology Modernization SME will provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and solution-oriented recommendations to support secure, scalable, and mission-focused technology solutions. This position will work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership to help assess modernization opportunities, evaluate technical approaches, and support implementation planning aligned with Government objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Active Project Management Institute Project Management Professional certification
- Fifteen or more years of experience in Federal IT modernization, technology management, software engineering, cloud architecture, digital transformation, or related technical areas
- Ten or more years of experience providing technical leadership for medium or large multi-task projects of high complexity in a Federal environment
- Demonstrated experience leading cloud, platform, application, or solution modernization efforts, including hybrid cloud transformation, software development, and technical strategy
- Experience supporting modernization planning, proof-of-concept development, technical demonstrations, solution assessments, or innovation activities
- Experience applying intelligent automation, AI-enabled capabilities, data analytics, customer experience, and platform development approaches to improve workflows, decision support, and mission outcomes
- Experience assessing technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security and privacy considerations, and transition approaches associated with modernization initiatives
- Ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate Government security clearance
