Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer

Job Summary
Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and ECS-based containerized environments for production and development systems. Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate provisioning, deployments, and operational processes. Monitor system health, performance, and security while troubleshooting production issues and implementing preventive improvements. Develop and maintain observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch. Support CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment reliability and collaborate with software engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency. Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost. Participate in the on-call rotation, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to the continuous improvement of production operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role supporting enterprise cloud environments with the ability to manage environments independently
- Experience supporting AWS infrastructure and containerized application environments
- Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience with Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes concepts, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch
- Strong Linux and Windows administration experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Must be based in either Orange, CA (moving to Tustin, CA in 2028) or Heber City, UT
- Weekend and after-hours support will occasionally be required
- Travel is expected to be up to 10%

- Experience with connected devices, IoT platforms, HVAC technologies, or field-service software
