Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer

Job Summary
Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and ECS-based containerized environments for production and development systems. Design Terraform Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and deployments, while monitoring system health, performance, and security using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch. Optimize infrastructure for scalability and cost, and collaborate with software teams to improve CI/CD pipeline reliability. Participate in on-call rotations to perform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements. This role supports Fieldpiece's connected HVACR tools and SaaS applications, requiring weekend and after-hours availability with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role supporting enterprise cloud environments with the ability to manage environments independently
- Experience supporting AWS infrastructure and containerized application environments
- Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience with Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes concepts, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch
- Strong Linux and Windows administration experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Must be based in our Heber City, UT office
- Weekend and after-hours support will occasionally be required
- Travel is expected to be up to 10%
