Job Summary
Join Inversion6 as a Senior Client Security Engineer, focusing on client-facing engagements that involve overseeing and enhancing security environments through effective management and strategic implementation of SIEM platforms. Responsibilities include designing and configuring security monitoring tools, managing log sources, developing detection rules, collaborating with SOC analysts, and providing technical guidance. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in security engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, proficiency in security tools, and excellent communication abilities. Certifications and experience in MSSP or consulting environments are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in security engineering roles
- Proficient in managing SIEM and SOAR environments
- Effectively able to diagnose/troubleshoot on various technologies
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools
- Understanding of cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in both IT and security contexts
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing demeanor
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Forward thinking abilities on how to help clients maintain, secure, automate, and improve their IT and security environments
- Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical constituents
- A passion for continuous learning, innovation, and security automation
Desired Qualifications
- Industry standard security certifications
- Experience working in an MSSP or consulting environment
- College degree in a related field (but not required)
