Job Summary
Coordinate full lifecycle workflow for assigned attorneys, managing priorities, delegating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met. Process new matter forms, conduct conflict checks, and prepare billing letters while tracking alternative fee arrangements and matter budgets. Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal departments by coordinating communications, managing sensitive information, and supporting business development initiatives. Proactively manage inboxes, draft responses, and organize correspondence while maintaining attorney calendars and arranging travel. Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents with high accuracy, ensuring secure storage and proper distribution. Leverage workflow management software and emerging AI tools to identify process improvements and streamline operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with major coursework in a related field
- 5+ years relevant experience providing comprehensive support to organizational leadership
- 3+ years relevant legal assistance experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and drive work to resolution with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information of highest level
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm
- Previous transcription experience preferred
