Job Summary
HR Senior Clerk responsibilities include maintaining official personnel records for active and separated employees across the department, scanning and filing documents into electronic and paper records systems, auditing records for accuracy, and responding to public records requests. The position supports process improvements within the Human Resources Office and operates within a secure storage environment, with duties that include digitizing historical records, maintaining the Terminated Employee Database, and providing professional, timely information via internal and external requests. The role requires independent work and collaboration in a team, attention to confidentiality, and proficiency with Power PDF/Adobe or similar software, as well as familiarity with People First HRMS/FLAIR Direct and electronic document management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Section 119, Florida Statutes (FL Public Records law)
- Knowledge of People First HRMS/FLAIR Direct
- Power PDF, Adobe or similar software systems
- Ability to organize records alphabetically and numerically
- Ability to audit final work product for accuracy
- Ability to redact, maintain, and protect confidential employee information
- Ability to use electronic document management systems
- Ability to respond to telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a large records storage environment moving or shifting paper records weighing up to 10 lbs.
