Job Summary
Manage claims for Kinetic policyholders, including claim reviews, reserve analysis, and closure strategies to minimize total cost of risk. Identify high-risk exposures and collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to implement mitigation strategies while facilitating return-to-work programs to reduce claim durations. Deliver best-in-class customer service through on-demand consultations for policyholders, brokers, and stakeholders, and analyze claims data to provide actionable insights for management. Update accurate records and support product improvement initiatives by identifying optimization opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of insurance and technology, helping transform workers' comp solutions for labor-intensive industries.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Workers' Compensation claims experience
- Experience managing lost time claims
- Experience managing litigated claims
- Experience conducting loss reserve analyses
- Proven experience conducting claim reviews directly with policyholders and their agents
- Knowledge or experience with Return-to-Work protocols and programs
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization, and with external customers
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members at all levels
- Proficiency in Google Suite (e.g. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working at an Insurtech company or MGA
- Experience plotting and visualizing data in a business intelligence platform such as Tableau or Looker
