Job Summary
Manage end-to-end primary and excess liability claims for environmental, construction professional, and general liability exposures, including mold, toxic torts, and pollution cleanup. Evaluate coverage issues, prepare comprehensive letters, and analyze contracts to determine defense and recovery strategies. Supervise outside vendors, negotiate settlements within authority, and lead complex litigated claims involving experts and layered programs. Collaborate with counsel, underwriting, and clients to present severity trends and attend mediations or trials. Maintain adjuster licenses and work in a fast-paced environment requiring multiple project prioritization.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of casualty claims experience handling both environmental liability and construction professional liability claims
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple client projects at the same
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team, interact with others, meet deadlines, and successfully perform in a changing work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ability to work in multiple claims platforms
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- High exposure/complex claim exposure evaluation skills
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills
- High degree of influencing skills
- Must have multiple adjusters' licenses or willing to obtain licenses where needed
- Availability for occasional travel
- Bachelor's Degree
Desired Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree preferred, but not required
