Senior Claims Representative Bodily Injury-Remote

Job Summary
Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability, then plan and conduct investigations to confirm coverage, determine liability, and assess damages. Negotiate appropriate claim settlements and reserves within prescribed authority, potentially attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials. Convey complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds, claimants, and external partners while authorizing payments within assigned limits. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files including all correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements. Work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield OH office, with four core in-office days (Tuesday–Thursday) and one remote day.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Ability to work on-site four days a week with flexibility to work one day remotely
- Core in-office days Tuesday–Thursday
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures
- Knowledge of industry laws and regulations
- Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely resolution of claims
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and lead negotiations
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation, such as Associate in Claims (AIC)
