Senior Claims Examiner

Investigate, evaluate and resolve complex personal injury, product liability, and property damage general liability claims against Lowe’s and/or its subsidiaries. Gather information, evaluate damages, determine liability and compensability, negotiate settlements, and report findings. Collaborate with other claims examiners on a team, serving as a leader for the team by integrating Lowe’s culture and jurisdiction-specific training into onboarding. Conduct interviews with claimants and witnesses, obtain official reports, compare claim information with evidence, and escalate unresolved issues. Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and principles to resolve claims, coordinate with Store Operations, Human Resources, and Loss Prevention to resolve claims timely and efficiently while upholding customer service standards. Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information, settle claims within authority, pursue subrogation when appropriate, control claim costs, and ensure compliance with regulations and service standards.
