Job Summary
Develop detailed, accurate estimates using Xactimate and Symbility (Cotality) for diverse commercial and residential projects, navigating Third Party Administrator guidelines to manage claims from initial estimate to final supplement approval. Review measurements and elevations for varied roofing systems including TPO, PVC, EPDM, and metal, while proactively troubleshooting pricing discrepancies and documentation issues to resolve bottleneck claims. Advocate for accurate scope by identifying missing line items and communicating technical arguments with adjusters and TPA representatives. This role requires advanced software proficiency and deep commercial experience, with availability to work outside standard hours during storm seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced, proven proficiency in Xactimate and Symbility (Cotality)
- Ability to create macros, build complex estimates from scratch, and navigate software-specific hurdles
- Extensive experience estimating various roof types
- Understanding of the nuances of commercial systems (flat and steep-slope)
- Ability to accurately scope specialty/designer systems
- Sharp eye for detail
- Ability to audit estimates against carrier guidelines and project requirements
- Comfortable advocating for accurate scope, identifying missing line items, and speaking with adjusters and TPA representatives
- Ability to effectively communicate with adjusters, staff, and clients
- Availability to work outside of Mon-Fri 8-5 during storm seasons, etc as needed due to volume and capacity fluctuations

- Ability to handle advanced supplement processes for both complex and standard residential and commercial projects
- Self-starter mindset who does not need to be hand-held

- Ability to communicate clearly with Management, Project Managers, carriers, and team members
- Skill at writing technical arguments for supplements
