Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of TPD claims proactively, ensuring accurate interpretation of policy wording, correct benefit entitlement calculations, and finalization within delegated authority. Provide exceptional customer service by managing communications regarding claim status and expectations while liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including participating in case conferences and monitoring third-party providers. Coach the team to improve case management practices and outcomes. This role joins a high-performing Retail Income Protection team at TAL, a 150-year-old insurer protecting Australians, with a focus on delivering empathic service and quality health claim results.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with TPD and Medical non-disclosure
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role involving life, lump sum, trauma and income protection claims assessment in the life insurance industry
- Ability to build rapport and empathy with customers during difficult times
- Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be able to undergo Police & Background checks

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field
