Senior Claims Consultant

Job Summary
Manage and oversee complex property, catastrophe, liability, auto, and workers' compensation claims, evaluating investigations, reserves, and settlement recommendations. Lead the review of large-loss property claims by coordinating with carriers, TPAs, and forensic firms to negotiate favorable outcomes and support disaster response. Serve as a technical advisor to leadership and field teams, providing guidance on coverage determinations and identifying emerging claim trends for risk mitigation. Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, develop KPIs, and implement workflow optimizations to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain settlement authority up to assigned limits while challenging claim decisions and vendor performance. Hybrid schedule includes four days in the Austin office and one remote day per week, with occasional travel up to 15%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 8 years of progressive insurance claims experience
- Demonstrated experience handling complex property and casualty claims
- Strong understanding of insurance policy interpretation and coverage analysis
- Experience managing relationships with TPAs, carriers, brokers, and legal counsel
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Texas All-Lines Adjuster License
- Professional designations such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, CIC, or SCLA
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of insurance claims experience

- Experience within real estate, property management, multifamily, or large portfolio environments
- Self-insured retention program experience
- Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and process improvement initiatives
