Job Summary
Senior Claims Associate for P&I and FDD claims handling within the Eastern Syndicate, supporting Members in the Indian subcontinent and Middle East. Responsibilities include handling assigned claims per procedures, advising on claims-related issues, supervising and allocating work, processing large claims when needed, providing coverage in absence of Syndicate Manager/Director, developing team capabilities, and producing content for Club publications. Requires qualified lawyer in England & Wales with 4–6 years PQE, strong communication, ability to lead case management, and a demonstrated expertise in a claim area. The role involves client relationship management, broker engagements, and contributing to continuous improvement of procedures and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer practicing in England & Wales with 4–6 years’ PQE
- Excellent communication skills (negotiating, presenting, reporting)
- Ability to lead case management and work within a team
- Experience handling shipping litigation and dispute resolution
- Ability to develop others and contribute to procedures and systems
