Job Summary
Investigate claims by travelling to loss sites to analyze circumstances and negotiate settlements in accordance with established standards. Handle complex residential insurance cases, including hidden defects and bodily injury claims exceeding $50,000, while coordinating stakeholders and experts. Evaluate recovery opportunities, control damages, and validate eligibility before preparing comprehensive reports and settling claims within your authority. This role requires full bilingualism in French and English, a Claims Adjuster Licence, and at least 10 years of field experience. Candidates must reside on the South Shore of Montreal or surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience as a field claims adjuster
- College Diploma (DEC), Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in insurance, or another relevant field of study
- Claims Adjuster Licence issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)
- Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
