Job Summary
Evaluate and process claims estimates and paid claims values accurately, ensuring compliance with policy terms. Investigate and resolve complex specialist claims while managing estimates and billings to resolve discrepancies. Identify coverage issues to align company liability with contractual commitments and proactively pursue subrogation and recovery opportunities. Produce regular statistical and analytical claims information for monitoring and decision-making. Act as a referral point for team members on specific tasks or complex matters. Support the implementation of Claims strategy and operational plans to meet business targets.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of technical claims handling in a group claims function within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management from technical, commercial, and operational perspectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to produce detailed reports and management information
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, and negotiation skills, with a customer-oriented approach
- Proven track record in managing complex and disputed claims matters, providing expert guidance and opinion
- Recognized qualifications and/or practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework
