Job Summary
Process claims for payment using Medicare and Medicaid knowledge while adhering to internal deadlines and handling daily workloads with speed and accuracy. Manage large volumes of data with strong attention to detail throughout the claims process and act as a mentor to team members. Define and calculate Medicare and Medicaid requirements while applying medical terminology, billing standards, and methodologies. This role supports NaphCare's mission to deliver proactive, patient-focused healthcare to correctional facilities across the nation using award-winning electronic operating systems.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of recent adjudication experience
- An ability to define and calculate Medicare and Medicaid
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, billing standards, and Medicare and Medicaid methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- CPC, COC, CIC, or Specialty Medical Coding Certification
