Job Summary

Senior Civil Project Manager (Land Development) at IMEG in Manassas, VA. Lead civil engineering and land development projects from pursuit through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts. Collaborate with business development staff and leadership on pursuits, develop scope, fees, proposals, and contracts, and manage schedules, milestones, and budgets. Oversee staffing and scheduling across design and construction phases, ensure compliance with owner requirements and codes, lead status meetings and client interviews/presentations, and mentor project team members. Build lasting client relationships, respond to concerns, manage change orders, and drive project financial performance. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of project management, construction management, or related experience; 10 years preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience within an engineering consulting, architecture, construction management, or related professional services environment
  • Experience managing projects where the engineering firm serves as the prime consultant, including hiring and managing subconsultants and executing subconsultant contracts
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple office locations, multidisciplinary teams, and engineering disciplines
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated financial success on projects managed
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and scheduling skills
  • Competitive problem-solving and risk mitigation abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Experience with scope development, fee calculations, proposal preparation, and contract reviews
