Job Summary
Senior Civil Project Manager in Burlington, MA leads a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects—from roadway reconstruction to sewer rehabilitation and stormwater improvements. You will coordinate with municipal public works and planning departments, serve as the primary point of contact for teams and clients, develop scopes of work and fee calculations for proposals, prepare project schedules and status reports, lead progress meetings and client interviews/presentations, and mentor junior staff. The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, coordination across design and construction phases, and delivering resilient, sustainable civil solutions in an employee-owned firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of project management, construction management, or related experience (12 years preferred)
- Professional Engineer License (PE) highly preferred
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and scheduling skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success
- Ability to identify risks and mitigate them
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate staff
- Experience managing large projects or significant volume of smaller projects for key clients
- Knowledge of engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
