Senior Civil Engineering - Water Infrastructure

Job Summary
Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary team environment. Contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from business development and tendering through to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning. Manage project scope, quality, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project outcomes while building strong client relationships and supporting winning proposals. Mentor emerging engineers to expand technical and leadership capabilities. This role supports the Rockhampton team in delivering complex infrastructure solutions for government, utility, industrial, and private sector clients across Queensland, focusing on potable water networks, wastewater treatment facilities, and asset management.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- CPEng and/or RPEQ accreditation
- Proven experience delivering detailed designs for potable water and wastewater networks
- Experience with wastewater treatment facilities
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning
- Consultancy experience working across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with wastewater treatment facilities (highly regarded)
