Job Summary
Lead roadway design projects from concept through completion, serving as the Engineer of Record for assigned interstate, bridge, and surface transportation initiatives. Manage project delivery teams, develop comprehensive project management plans including risk assessments, QA/QC protocols, and budgets, and ensure all deliverables meet client and SOL standards. Execute business development activities to identify new opportunities, retain existing clients, and grow the Memphis office backlog. This role requires a self-motivated "seller-doer" with 10+ years of transportation engineering experience and current Professional Engineering registration in Mississippi or a U.S. state. The position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 USD with potential relocation expenses, located in the Memphis TN vicinity. SOL Engineering Services LLC serves government, commercial, and industrial clients across seven states, seeking this candidate to drive operational excellence and project delivery success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school
- 10+ Years of transportation engineering experience
- Current Professional Engineering registration in the State of Mississippi OR current Professional Engineer another U.S. State with the ability to successfully obtain registration in the State of Mississippi within one year from date of application submittal to SOL
- Excellent ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants and utility companies
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Very organized, dependable, and professional
- Proficiency at producing construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation
