Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Civil Engineer responsible for the complete civil engineering design of projects, coordinating between disciplines, producing engineering drawings, and delivering submittals and documentation. Will mentor Civil Engineers, support cross-team coordination (estimates, operations, field teams), and engage in client-facing coordination using Procore when required. Must manage submittal and RFI logs, track approvals, and ensure timely follow-up on revisions and rejections, while adhering to design standards and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Eight (8)+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in geometric design of highways using Civil 3D or Open Roads or similar software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Extensive knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, local Road Authority Standards and other road and civil design standards
- Understanding of safety in design practices and processes with emphasis on road safety outcomes
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor others
- Ability to deliver quality and technical excellence with adherence to timelines and costs
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, influencing, and communication skills across country-cultures
- Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including estimating, operations, and field teams
- Experience coordinating across disciplines and with project teams (Rails and Metro Team Lead or Project Manager)
- Ability to produce engineering drawings and manage design quality procedures
- Familiarity with design standards and design quality procedures as part of project delivery
- Experience with Procore or similar project-management/document-control platforms
- Willingness to perform other tasks as assigned by leadership
- Comfort with working in a global, multi-office environment
