Senior Civil Engineer - Remediation

Job Summary
Lead technical efforts on Environmental Remediation and Coal Ash closure projects by serving as a technical advisor, developing study procedures, and performing quality control reviews of design calculations. Provide specialized input to studies and design, prepare technical specifications, and develop construction cost estimates and technical effort budgets. Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and manage technical, cost, and schedule elements within the AECOM Quality Management System. Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and site personnel while rigorously applying safety policies. Requires a licensed Professional Engineer with 6+ years of experience in CCR, landfills, and material excavation.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 6 years of related experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state
- ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states
- Experience with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR)
- Valid U.S Driver's License
- ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience at an engineering consulting firm
- Ability to proactively lead technical efforts and project team staff
- Experience as Senior Project Engineer on large scale projects, including landfills, material excavation and dewatering, and coal ash closure
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification
