Job Summary
Lead civil design project teams to create designs for datacenters, power, and industrial facilities. Review vendor drawings, interface with suppliers and other disciplines, and compile studies and reports. Manage change orders, project budgets, and cost estimates while preparing technical reports for clients. Lead field inspections, resolve installation issues, and ensure QA/QC process adherence. Mentor less experienced engineers and build relationships with clients and contractors to drive new business opportunities. Participate in sales efforts, develop cost proposals, and lead the discipline design for large projects. Comply with company safety policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen or a green card holder
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
- 7 years' civil engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 6 years civil engineering experience
- Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Strong computer skills (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD), and/or hydraulic, hydrologic, pavement, civil analysis programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members
- Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications
- Ability to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Local candidates preferred or open to relocation
- EPC project experience preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
