Job Summary
Lead engineering on mid- to large-size projects, providing specialized technical input for studies and design while approving and signing off on work. Present complex technical solutions to clients and perform quality control reviews of work developed by others. Participate in development of technical proposals and provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects. This role supports the comprehensive delivery of venue infrastructure for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games within AECOM's Buildings + Places practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional License in California (PE)
- 3 years of project management or deputy project management experience including responsible charge of supporting staff engineers as well as project contact and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and authorities having jurisdiction
- Experience in use of REVIT/AutoCAD including Civil 3D
- Familiarity with all disciplines normally involved with vertical construction projects
- Engineering experience in design of private development projects and associated infrastructure, transportation projects focused on local roadways and associated improvements, and utility projects with a focus on water and wastewater lines
- Specific design experience in grading and drainage plans
- Specific design experience in coordinate control plans
- Specific design experience in phasing plans
- Specific design experience in storm drainage plan and profiles
- Specific design experience in roadway plans
- Specific design experience in traffic control plans
- Specific design experience in water and wastewater plans
- Specific design experience in preparation of hydraulic calculations for drainage and utilities
- Specific design experience in preparation of storm water management reports
- Specific design experience in preparation of project development reports
- Specific design experience in preparation of geometric and pavement calculations
- Specific design experience in preparation of civil engineering detail plans
- Specific design experience in preparation of specifications in a variety of formats for all aspects of civil engineering projects
