Job Summary
Provide design support and guidance for schemes to ensure outputs meet legislation and standards, while managing interfaces between civil design and other disciplines. Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop safe, practical solutions from concept design through commissioning. Act as a technical checker on project documents, undertake site reviews for buildability, and positively engage with clients using a one-team approach. Mentor engineers to develop their skill sets and identify appropriate resources for projects. Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes through standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools. Requires Chartership (CEng), water/wastewater experience, and a valid driving licence. Based in the Bournemouth, Poole, and South Dorset area.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
- Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
- Experience of successfully delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- A valid driving licence
- Willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
- Water/wastewater experience
