Job Summary
Deliver civil engineering design activities across water and wastewater projects, preparing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation. Support concept, outline, and detailed design solutions for treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and stormwater assets while coordinating inputs with multidisciplinary teams. Assist with construction support activities, including design reviews and technical queries, to achieve programme, budget, and quality objectives. Mentor and support the development of graduate and junior engineers. Build and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships within a collaborative environment focused on sustainable UK water infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- approximately 5+ years of civil engineering experience
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience delivering civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of water and wastewater assets and associated design standards
- Experience preparing engineering calculations, reports, specifications and technical documentation
- Understanding of drainage, pipelines, pumping stations and treatment infrastructure
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery
- A passion for developing junior team members and sharing knowledge

Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership
- Experience working within UK water sector frameworks
- Knowledge of relevant UK design standards, including Eurocodes and water industry specifications
- Experience supporting project delivery through design and construction phases
