Job Summary
Lead civil engineering design and BIM model development using Civil 3D, managing setup, level structures, and services modelling for complex infrastructure projects. Execute clash detection with tools like Navisworks, prepare technical drawings and calculations, and ensure compliance with UK design standards. Collaborate across structural and MEP disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical oversight. This remote role requires extensive hands-on Civil 3D and BIM experience, ideally with Chartered status, and offers competitive monthly or day-rate compensation with paid leave.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Civil Engineer
- Remote (Must be based in South Africa)
- Plenty of civil knowledge as a senior
- Extensive hands-on 3D Design, Civil 3D Design
- Autodesk experience
- Proven track record in BIM modelling, including setup and management of levels
- Hands-on experience with services modelling and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks)
- Senior level background, ideally Chartered (CEng/IEng) or near-chartered
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Strong drainage design/modelling knowledge (MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage)
