Job Summary

Senior Civil Designer role focusing on land development projects, including design/drafting of engineering drawings, 3D modeling with Civil3D, development of design spreadsheets, and reports. Will interpret regulatory standards, coordinate with stakeholders, mentor other designers, and maintain client relationships. Requires AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency, familiarity with Projectwise/BIM360/Procore/Sharepoint, and a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field. English communication, attention to detail, problem solving, and a driver’s license are essential. Location is Edmonton, Alberta with hybrid work arrangement.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design Technology, or similar.
  • Experience in consulting engineering in Alberta and/or land development or municipal engineering design and construction would be an asset.
  • Proficiency working with design tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience working with Projectwise, BIM360, Procore, Sharepoint or other cloud-based platforms is considered an asset.
  • Well-developed computer and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the field on construction projects would be an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work with engineers on multidisciplinary development projects.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
