Senior Civil Designer, Defence

Job Summary
Deliver drafting and design on large multidisciplinary civil engineering projects for Defence bases and facilities, working cooperatively with engineers and drafters locally and internationally to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables. Leverage technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or 12D to maintain rigorous standards across utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks, and roads design while developing designs independently to ensure innovation and safety. Mentor and lead juniors within the drafting and design team and the wider Adelaide team. This role requires Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearances to safeguard Australia's Defence capabilities. Applicants should have 5-10 years of experience in a consultancy environment. Flexible work arrangements are available, aligned with market and client-facing role requirements.

Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience (ideally 5-10 years) in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Demonstrable knowledge and capability in AutoCAD and 12D or Civil 3D software packages
- Proven experience delivering design and drafting for large civil infrastructure projects in aspects such as utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks and roads design
- ability to develop designs independently, ensuring innovation and safety are prioritised
- Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design
