Senior Cisco Network Engineer

Job Summary
Proactively identify and resolve technical incidents, manage high-complexity tickets, and investigate root causes for third-line support calls. Configure, install, and test assigned client infrastructure while adjusting monitoring tools to respond to alerts. Provide onsite technical support and field engineering services, reporting issues to vendors and facilitating monthly incident trending to improve service quality. Coach junior team members and articulate technical changes during live feedback sessions in pressurized environments. This role ensures network service stability for client business operations within an outsourced landscape, requiring CCIE-R/S and CCNP-W certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Network related diploma, degree, or relevant qualification (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
- 5 Solid years of networking experience
- Experience required in Network Engineering function within a medium to large ICT organization
- Experience of delivering services in an outsourced landscape
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Up to date and relevant ITIL certification
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert - Routing and Switching (CCIE-R/S)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional - Wireless (CCNP-W)
- Juniper Networks Certified Support Professional - Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCSP-ENT)
- JNCIA Security
- Certified Partner SE - WAN Optimization
- Riverbed Certified Solutions Professional - WAN Optimization (RCSP-W)
- F5 Certified Technology Specialist Local Traffic Management (F5-CTS-LTM)
- Bachelors degree in information technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus
- Relevant certifications, e.g. ITIL
- CCIE (Cisco), CCNP (Cisco), JNCIE-ENT (Juniper), Network+ (CompTIA), WCNA (Wireshark)
