Job Summary
Provide cover for annual leave, maternity leave, or longer-term absences across Fife by overseeing daily club operations and supervising a small team of childcare practitioners. Plan and supervise activities with children and young people while organizing play areas, providing resources, and creating safe, inviting spaces that encourage independence and self-esteem. Deliver healthy snacks based on dietary needs and offer one-to-one support when required. Manage injuries and emergencies, maintain professional relationships with parents and carers, and ensure smooth service delivery alongside newly appointed development officers.
Required Qualifications
- experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting
- supervisory experience, preferably within a childcare service
- holds a formal qualification such as an SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People)
- Level 2 Disclosure with PVG
- SSSC registration
