Job Summary
Develop and implement high-quality childcare programs in accordance with YMCA of the USA and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services guidelines. Manage annual budgets, maintain required enrollment numbers, and ensure compliance with state and local licensing requirements through regular inspections and safety audits. Lead staff hiring, training, and evaluation while maintaining accurate records for childcare, facility, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Actively recruit volunteers, promote programs through marketing materials, and participate in association committees and annual campaigns. Drive a vehicle safely to transport up to 14 children and attend parent events to build relationships with participants and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- A 2-year college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- plan for completion of 4-year college degree
- If college degree is not in Early Childhood Education, 12 college credit hours must be in education field
- College transcripts must be provided
- If college degree is not in Early Childhood Education, must be able to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) within 1 year of hire or equivalent
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen
- 2 years' experience in childcare or education field
- 2 years' experience in childcare program area systems, procedures, and guidelines
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- insurable driver's record according to the YMCA's insurance carriers
- reliable transportation to travel for business meetings, training events, YMCA site visits, vendors, and suppliers, etc.
