Job Summary
As a Senior Chassis Control Engineer, you will design and develop advanced chassis systems and their interactions with other vehicle systems. Your responsibilities include defining system and software requirements, maintaining verification processes, mentoring team members, and leading safety deliverables according to ISO26262. You will collaborate across teams to ensure vehicle performance targets are met and actively engage in system testing and validation. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and substantial experience in chassis systems development, with strong knowledge of safety-critical systems and project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical/Software/Controls Engineering or Equivalent
- 4 or more years’ experience of Chassis Systems Development, Calibration and / or Control Software Development (Stability Control Systems, Steering, Braking or Suspension / Damping)
- Experience in requirements and test cases definition for safety critical Chassis Systems (DOORS, Polarion or similar)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of braking and / or steering components and features
- Experience of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Failure Mode Analysis
- Experience with CAN-based tools for testing, data logging, feature calibration and issue investigation (such as Vector CANApe, CANAlyzer, CANoe)
- Experience in managing suppliers for SW development and issue resolution
- Understanding of automotive homologation and legal / regulatory requirements and testing for chassis systems
- Issue management, root-cause analysis
- Basic project management skills
- Familiarity with MS Office suite
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Understanding of vehicle dynamics, ADAS systems, and EV powertrain
- Experience in system validation and HIL testing, dSpace or similar
- Knowledge of Automotive Diagnostic DTC’s, service routines, boot loader
- Experience in architecture / network definition, and system integration for automotive application
- Matlab scripting and Simulink Modeling
- CAPL script
- Valid driver’s license, performance driving license preferred such as a racing license, or test driver license from an automotive proving ground
