Job Summary
Scout, evaluate, and validate novel battery cell technologies to improve energy, power, charge rate, and cycle life. Design, execute, and analyze experiments for new materials and cell testing, while collaborating across disciplines to integrate new technologies into platforms. Analyze electrochemical data, perform root cause analysis, and investigate degradation or failure mechanisms. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Electrochemistry with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 5+ years in battery technologies like Li-Ion, Na-Ion, or Solid-State. Preferred skills include physics, mechanical, or thermal simulation for battery cells. Work within Milwaukee Tool's Cell Technology Team to drive breakthroughs in battery innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related field
- 5+ years job experience
- 2+ years battery technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 5+ years experience in battery technologies like Li-Ion, Na-Ion, Solid-State etc.
- Experience with Physics based Simulation/Mechanical Simulation/Thermal Simulation for Battery Cells
- Interest in exploring innovative technologies to identify opportunities and advantages, with a strong drive to learn and grow with a never settle, always improving attitude
- Effective time management skills with a strong sense of ownership
