Senior CBI Associate

Senior CBI Associate based in Chisinau, Moldova, reporting to the Cash-based Intervention Officer, responsible for supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of UNHCR’s cash-based intervention programmes. Key duties include providing inputs to the operation’s Multifunctional Team to ensure smooth financial processing of cash assistance, managing and maintaining databases used for cash-based interventions, developing statistical and ad-hoc reports, administering the intervention database, ensuring timely cash delivery to beneficiaries, maintaining relationships with partners and financial service providers, assisting with staff and partner training on cash procedures, upholding data protection standards, coordinating with IPs, Ops and focal points on beneficiary lists, undertaking field visits to financial service providers, representing UNHCR at related meetings, and contributing to workflow improvements. The role requires strong data management and reporting skills, knowledge of ERP/SQL/database tools, proficiency in English and Romanian (with Russian as an asset), and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a humanitarian context. Shortlisted candidates may be tested; Moldova citizenship or right to work in Moldova is required. The position is a temporary appointment (end date 31/12/2026) within UNHCR Moldova, with potential for related duties and cross-functional collaboration across UNHCR units.
