Job Summary
Senior Category Manager, Procurement at Scientific Games leads sourcing and supplier-management activities across assigned spend categories. Responsibilities include identifying sourcing opportunities through spend data and market trends, conducting market research, supplier evaluation and selection, leading or participating in negotiations and contracting, conducting total cost analyses (including direct and indirect costs), maintaining supplier relationships, assessing supply-chain risks, driving continuous process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, legal, quality, regulatory, and commercial Sales & Marketing) to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3+ years in Category Management of Professional Services, strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with procurement software (eSourcing, eProcurement, Spend Analytics); a relevant professional certification is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in Category Management of Professional Services
- Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and favorable terms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in utilizing data-driven insights to inform decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools (eSourcing, eProcurement, Spend Analytics)
- Desired Industry certification (Certified Supply Management Professional or equivalent)
