Job Summary
Senior Category Manager at zooplus responsible for defining and executing the category strategy to drive revenue, profitability, and customer experience in the DACH region. Own end-to-end category growth by analysing customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity; develop pricing recommendations; plan and execute promotions and campaigns; optimise merchandising and customer journeys; collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Pricing, Vendor Management, and Shop Operations; drive growth of Own Brand products; coach junior team members and share best practices; requires strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and excellent communication in English and German.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, Commercial Management, or related role
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or other fast-paced commercial environment
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate insights into actions
- Experience managing pricing, promotions, assortment, or trading activities
- Fluent English and German (minimum B1)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Ownership & bias for action; commercial acumen; AI-native mindset
