Job Summary
Support Global Category Managers in executing regional and global sourcing events across assigned categories, including sourcing administration, event support, and strategy development for supply chain logistics. Lead project execution using defined strategic sourcing methodologies to ensure fair, open, and competitive processes while developing recommendations for supplier selection. Manage research and analysis on innovations, new products, and market conditions to drive cost improvement and ensure a compliant 'Source-to-Pay' process. Execute negotiations in support of value delivery and participate in Global Category Management planning for assigned categories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience
- Able to independently lead assigned sourcing initiatives with Business Partners
- Knowledge of RFx requirements including sourcing event structure, supplier selection, RFx criteria, timing, length, type, and complexity of RFI, RFP, and/or e-Auction events
- Understanding of basic negotiation principles in support of value delivery
- Able to recommend supplier selections to Business Partners
- Strong relationship development skills and competency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong command of procurement/ sourcing systems and Microsoft Suite of products
- Ability to analyze data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends
- Ability to recognize trends within spend categories
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Self-motivator with ability to prioritize projects
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the retail industry and managing multinational Business Partners and suppliers
- Experience with Logistics and/or Supply Chain activities and projects
