Job Summary
Underwrite policies within delegated authority for Wholesale Excess & Surplus, exercising sound judgment to assess and price complex risks including high-value accounts. Manage a portfolio of brokers and agents by leveraging market insights to develop profitable business while maintaining strong relationships to deepen partnerships. Provide input on product development and contribute to team initiatives such as process enhancements, alongside analyzing departmental portfolio performance to identify emerging risk trends. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Underwriting Support, Claims, and Actuarial to ensure seamless execution. Support junior underwriters through guidance and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business
- 2.5 years of progressive underwriting experience
- 3 or more years of progressive underwriting experience
- other related experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPCU or professional insurance designation
