Job Summary
Lead a team of Case Managers and Youth Workers within the Bundaberg Youth Refuge and Family Units, delivering trauma-informed case management and coaching staff on best practice. Manage complex case coordination, risk assessment, and safety planning to guide young people toward independent living skills, education, employment, and sustainable housing. Build partnerships with housing providers, schools, and community organizations while ensuring responsive, person-centred support for families experiencing homelessness and trauma. This senior leadership role combines direct client work with mentoring to empower young people and families to build safer futures.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work, Human Services, Community Services, Psychology or a related discipline
- Extensive experience supporting young people with complex needs, including homelessness, trauma, family violence and mental health challenges
- Leadership, mentoring or senior case management experience
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally safe practice
- Experience coordinating complex cases, managing risk and developing meaningful support plans
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the community sector
- A current Queensland Driver Licence and Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or the ability to obtain one
- Successful completion of a Working with Children Check
- A mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
