Job Summary
Senior Career Development Coordinator for Career Exploration provides career advising and coaching to students and alumni, develops and implements programming, administers career exploration resources (e.g., YouScience), facilitates orientation-based guidance, coordinates career events and workshops, and collaborates with academic advisers to engage undeclared majors in career exploration. The role emphasizes helping students with career goals, major selection, internship opportunities, and leveraging resources to support post-graduate plans. The position involves presenting and facilitating programs, maintaining records for assessment and strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with training requirements. Experience with career services, assessment tools (MBTI, CliftonStrengths, YouScience, Strong), and coaching/mentoring activities is preferred; a Master’s degree is listed as a preferred qualification, along with licensure/certification options and evidence of successful program development and engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, written communication, time management, and decision-making skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple demanding projects
- Excellent computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Knowledge of database applications and adept with video conferencing technologies
