Job Summary
Senior Career Advancement Specialist leads employment development for adults with disabilities, delivering individualized and group-based career readiness, job development, and college-pathway services. Responsibilities include 1:1 job coaching, career planning support, assessments to support growth, integrating independent living and workplace readiness into programming, building relationships with community employers and collegiate partners, expanding competitive integrated employment opportunities, coordinating job shadowing and workforce exposure experiences, monitoring job performance, and troubleshooting employment-related concerns. The role also involves meeting a 35-hour per week quota, onboarding new specialists, leading or co-leading monthly best-practice meetings, designing one new employment-related initiative per quarter, managing schedules and contract utilization, and contributing to monthly ISP/Life Plan progress notes and data collection. Requires collaboration with DDS, families, and support teams, and flexibility to meet participant needs. Location is Randolph, MA with on-site work; schedule includes 40 hours per week, with some flexibility for varied hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in human services job placement preferred (1-3 years)
- First Aid/CPR and Safety Care or willingness to become certified
- Massachusetts Driver's License and clean driving record
- Personal vehicle required
- Ability to clear state and federal background check
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Valid driver license and safe driving record
- Ability to transport participants as needed
Desired Qualifications
- One to Three years of Human Services job placement experience preferred
- Some Marketing and/or Sales experience preferred
- First Aid/CPR and Safety Care or willingness to become certified
- Massachusetts Driver's License and clean driving record required
- Personal vehicle required
- Must clear state and federal background check
